I. Brief Introductions of the Two Virtuous People

Mr. Wang Fengyi (1864—1937) was a famous folk educator, an advocate of ethical and moral principles, and a pioneer of women's education in modern China. In his early years, he was a farm laborer in the countryside and had no formal education. Due to his sincere practice of loyalty and filial piety, he achieved enlightenment through self-cultivation. At the age of 35, he listened to the preaching of good books by the great virtuous person Yang Bai. Realizing the truth that "the virtuous person takes the blame, while the foolish person argues for reason", he deeply regretted his own mistakes. His 12-year-old illness of ulcerative tuberculosis was miraculously cured overnight. Sighing at the human world, where men failed to fulfill their duties of loyalty and filial piety and women lacked virtue and propriety, and finding it difficult to reverse the worldly customs, he was determined to persuade and transform the world. In October of the same year, the virtuous person Yang Bai was falsely accused and imprisoned in Chaoyang Prison. Wang Fengyi followed the example of the story of "Yang Jiaoa sacrificing his life for friendship" and vowed to go to Chaoyang Prefecture to rescue Yang Bai. On the way, suddenly there was light at night as if it were daytime, and Wang Fengyi had an epiphany and thus understood his true nature. In October of the year when he was 38, his father passed away. Wang Fengyi was determined to follow the example of the ancients and guard the tomb for three years. During the three years of guarding the tomb, he gained an in-depth understanding of the method of treating diseases through the regulation of human nature. By talking about diseases and transforming people, he achieved remarkable results and created a rare miracle in history.

Mr. Liu Yousheng (Liu Shanshan), born in 1939, is a farmer from Keshan County, Heilongjiang Province, with a primary school education. At the age of 20, he suffered from a terminal illness. Fortunately, he listened to the preaching of treating diseases through the regulation of human nature by the disciples of Mr. Wang Fengyi. By using the method of treating diseases through the regulation of human nature, he overcame the terminal illness, deeply understood the essence of Mr. Wang Fengyi's theory of treating diseases through the regulation of human nature. He has been sharing his insights for more than 20 years, helping many common people relieve their sufferings from diseases and curing countless patients. He has been invited to give speeches on many occasions at universities such as Peking University, Tsinghua University, Guangxi University of Chinese Medicine, as well as in cities like Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Harbin, and Hangzhou. He does not charge any fees, and the effects are good, receiving high praise. He has won the high admiration of eminent Buddhist monks.

II. The Core Ideas of the Two Virtuous People's Explanations of Diseases

  1. "Diseases are added from the outside. If you have a good personality, the diseases will run away. Three-tenths of the treatment lies in medicine, and seven-tenths lies in recuperation. Good recuperation is better than good treatment."
  2. "Not blaming others is the root of the path to becoming a Buddha. Then we should check ourselves every day to see if we still blame others. We should examine ourselves carefully."
  3. Greed, anger, ignorance, arrogance, doubt, resentment, hatred, annoyance, anger, and worry, as well as disloyalty, unfilial piety, lack of benevolence, unrighteousness, and untrustworthiness, lead to various diseases. These are the roots of diseases, just like the roots of a tree. If you want to cure diseases, you need to correct them from these roots. If the roots are not good, no matter how you trim the branches and leaves, you cannot solve the fundamental problem. The first two are the original words of the virtuous people, and the third one is a personal summary, waiting for experts to improve it.

III. Summary of Mr. Wang Fengyi's Explanations of Diseases

  1. Resentment hurts the spleen ---- Resentment can cause diseases such as stuffiness and pain in the stomach, fullness, dysphagia, vomiting and diarrhea, gastric weakness, gastritis, gastric ulcer, detachment of the gastric mucosa, and even gastric cancer.
  2. Hatred hurts the heart ---- Hatred can cause diseases such as coronary heart disease, myocarditis, hydropericardium, mitral stenosis, myocardial infarction, mania and aphasia.
  3. Annoyance hurts the lungs ---- Annoyance can cause diseases such as asthma, cough, hemoptysis, pulmonary deficiency, pneumonia, and pulmonary tuberculosis. Rhinitis is caused by being overly competitive, nitpicking leads to a cold, offending elders will cause a fever, and not being convinced of others will lead to lung diseases.
  4. Anger hurts the liver ---- Anger can cause diseases such as dizziness and blurred vision, deafness, toothache, deviation of the mouth and eyes, continuous stroke, hemiplegia, and liver and gallbladder diseases.
  5. Worry hurts the kidneys ---- Worry can cause diseases such as low back pain, soreness in the legs, abdominal pain, protrusion of the lumbar intervertebral disc, tuberculosis of the lumbar vertebra, necrosis of the femoral head, diabetes, and uremia. (In short, the worse the temper, the smaller the tolerance, and the worse the mood, the more likely one is to get sick.)
  6. Blood diseases (leukemia, insufficient hematopoiesis, lupus erythematosus) ---- Related to money

IV. Cases of Diseases Explained by Mr. Liu Shanshan

(1) Cases of Diseases Explained by Mr. Liu Shanshan

  1. Pharyngolaryngitis --- Often interrupting others and liking to cut in.
  2. Intrah epatic hemangioma ---- Caused by anger and holding in one's anger.
  3. Fear of cold and wind on the skin ---- Lack of warmth and lack of affection for others. Being too cold and aloof in temperament.
  4. Children's disease of deviation of the mouth and eyes ---- Liking to curse others. One should speak accurately and not tell lies.
  5. Explanation of hypertension and tinnitus ---- Holding in one's anger, anger hurting the liver, causing dizziness and blurred vision, tinnitus and toothache.
  6. Children's cough ---- The reason lies in that the mother has unhappy or angry things with her parents-in-law or her own parents. If the mother lacks filial piety, the child will get lung diseases, or pulmonary tuberculosis.
  7. Explanation of lupus erythematosus vasculitis ---- Caused by matters related to wealth. It comes from getting angry, because blood belongs to water, water belongs to commerce, and commerce belongs to wealth. Countermeasure: Spend less money and avoid extravagance and waste.
  8. Dizziness ---- Related to the elders.
  9. Heart disease and headache ---- Great hatred.
  10. Gallstone disease ---- Caused by getting angry with the elders. Because the gallbladder belongs to the empty and yang category. Most of it is caused by getting angry with male elders. One's personality is too irritable and one must change one's personality.
  11. Glaucoma and cataract ---- Being moved to anger by seeing the shortcomings of others.
  12. Cervical spondylosis and scapulohumeral periarthritis ---- Cervical spondylosis is due to being unwilling to accept the elders or leaders behind one's back. Scapulohumeral periarthritis is caused by taking care of too many things and having too heavy a burden, wanting to manage everything.
  13. Vitiligo ---- A blood disease, caused by a person with a fiery temperament having an overly high fiery nature.
  14. Purpura ---- Allergic purpura, belonging to sores, with small spots that are easy to break. If a child gets this disease, it is generally because the parents constantly resent each other. If each person can fulfill their proper roles, the condition can be improved, because the skin belongs to fire, and constantly getting angry will damage the skin.
  15. Children's hand diseases ---- Caused by the mother having conflicts with relatives like siblings (such as cousins, etc.).
  16. Explanation of low back pain ---- Caused by being annoyed with others. Being annoyed with one's husband or wife, being annoyed will damage the kidneys, causing low back and leg pain, abdominal pain, edema, kidney deficiency, and nephritis.
  17. Migraine ---- If the migraine is on the left side, it is due to getting angry with male elders; if it is on the right side, it is due to getting angry with female elders.
  18. Explanation of rheumatic cold syndrome and rheumatic arthritis ---- This disease is caused by the presence of all negative emotions such as hatred, resentment, annoyance, anger, and worry. One should understand the truth, not resent or be annoyed, and not get angry.
  19. Mental illness ---- Some mental illnesses are caused by the reversal of qi and blood towards the heart. A surge of hatred lodges in the heart, either the qi or the blood reverses towards the heart. If it is the reversal of qi around the heart, there will be white foam around the heart; if it is the reversal of fire, there will be blood stasis around the heart. If this thing is not allowed to be released, the condition will fluctuate and it is difficult to stabilize.

There is also the factor of being frightened, which leads to the disorder of various nerve functions and changes in physiological organs. The reason is also based on the foundation of hatred and the reversal of qi and blood towards the heart.

Treatment method: When the patient is conscious, let him know who he is holding this hatred against, find the good points of that person, and admit his own faults. If he can vomit out the dark blood, he can get better.

  1. Heart problems, leg pain, and general body pain ---- Caused by internal heat. The upper jiao (upper part of the body) is affected by heat, while the lower jiao (lower part of the body) is cold. When a person gets angry, the qi descends and turns into coldness. If one becomes irritable, this yin qi penetrates into the bone marrow, leading to a decline in kidney function. Yin qi can cause arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and various other diseases. This disease is related to heart problems and general body pain. Heart problems stem from hatred and internal heat. Excessive internal heat harms the heart, causing heart diseases and insufficient blood supply, leading to shortness of breath. These diseases are interrelated. Treatment method: Starting from the age of 12, recall whom you hold hatred towards and admit your own faults.
  2. High blood pressure ---- Caused by unprovoked anger, where the anger has nowhere to be released and is suppressed internally, resulting in unprovoked anger. Countermeasure: Don't be hasty when things happen. "Accept adversity with patience, and good fortune will be added. Adversity comes as a result of previous causes." Change your personality, admit your mistakes, and sincerely apologize.
  3. Diseases of the limbs ---- Hatred towards peers and people outside to the core causes problems in the arms. The pain in the legs, which feels like being pricked by needles, is due to being particularly dissatisfied with juniors or peers in certain matters.
  4. Liver diseases ---- Caused by anger and pent-up anger. People with a wood-like temperament are mainly affected in the liver. If one gets angry, it affects the liver, and if the liver is not in good condition, the gallbladder will also be affected. This kind of toxicity is hidden in the meridians. Hepatitis B is often related to female individuals. Treatment: Change your personality, express your feelings, and don't get angry. If you can vomit out the black blood stasis or excrete it, you will get better.
  5. Thyroid diseases ---- Caused by anger and internal heat.
  6. Fear of cold, unprovoked dizziness, and back pain ---- Due to being easily annoyed, when the qi descends, it turns into coldness. Back pain is due to poor blood and qi circulation. In fact, it is because one is unwilling to accept someone behind one's back, which is like carrying someone on the back. If you are dissatisfied with someone behind your back, you must admit your mistakes.
  7. Explanation of leg pain ---- Caused by getting angry with juniors. When the qi descends, it turns into coldness. Annoyance and qi are pent up in the heart. If there is qi in the heart, it may be due to troubles related to money and getting angry with others.
  8. Acne ---- Related to one's temperament. When encountering things, one gets anxious and the face turns red immediately, getting anxious and having internal heat. It is caused by accumulated toxic heat and is related to one's personality.
  9. Chest tightness ---- Caused by holding in one's anger, which hinders blood circulation. Once you find the root cause and either let it out upwards or downwards, the disease will be cured.
  10. Bladder diseases ---- Caused by either holding in urine or being annoyed. Generally, it is due to being annoyed with men. The bladder belongs to yang.
  11. Short stature ---- When a person is born, there are external five elements and internal five elements. For different people, depending on which element dominates their temperament, it can be seen from the external five elements. "People with a wood-like temperament are thin, those with a metal-like temperament are round, those with a water-like temperament are plump, those with an earth-like temperament are thick and their backs are like a tortoise. Only those with a metal-like temperament have a white complexion, and they are small and delicate."
This is all determined by each person's temperament, and it cannot be changed.
  12. Enteritis ---- Caused by being annoyed with others. The large intestine and the lungs are related. Lung problems are caused by annoyance or getting angry with the elders. If the elders worry about their children in their later years, it is easy to harm the lungs. If there are no problems in the lungs, there will be problems in the large intestine.
  13. Puerperal wind ---- The cause of the disease is that the person has a stubborn personality, a bad temper, and a strong character.
  14. Knees feeling cold ---- There is inflammation. Feeling cold is still relatively better. This is a disease related to the external five elements. On the right side, it may be due to getting angry and having internal heat with daughters, younger sisters, nieces, or sisters-in-law. When the qi spreads outwards, it turns into coldness.
  15. Necrosis of the femoral head and protrusion of the lumbar intervertebral disc ---- For necrosis of the femoral head, look for the cause from the father, because bones are given by the father and blood is given by the mother. Look for the cause from male individuals. Bone diseases are caused by hatred and annoyance. Protrusion of the lumbar intervertebral disc is due to annoyance, and excessive internal heat is also a major factor.
  16. Deviation of the heart tip ---- Look for the reasons between wives and mothers-in-law. It is because of unfair treatment towards both sides. The scale in the heart is not balanced.
  17. Periostitis ---- Caused by annoyance. Edema is also caused by annoyance. The water cannot be discharged, resulting in stagnant water. If there are problems with the kidneys, sweating can be used to detoxify.
  18. Rhinitis ---- There are two types. One is due to resenting the elders, and the other is due to internal heat.
  19. Coldness in the lower abdomen and low back wind disease ---- Coldness in the lower abdomen is due to being disheartened and having too much resentment towards someone in the heart. Feeling the wind in the lower back is still due to annoyance.
  20. Children's fractures ---- If a child is before the age of 11 or 12, look for the cause from the parents, because people with a wood-like temperament are prone to getting injured. If the parents have too strong and rigid a wood-like temperament, and they confront each other head-on, the child will get injured.
  21. Numbness on the top of the head ---- Related to anger, with blocked meridians.
  22. Loss of smell ---- Caused by resentment.
  23. Diabetes ---- 1) Prone to getting angry when encountering things. 2) Easily annoyed when encountering things. 3) Excessive eating.
  24. Skin diseases ---- 1) Someone in the family engages in usury or some highly profitable business. 2) One has too much internal heat.
  25. Gout ---- Aunt Ayu personally asked Mr. Liu Shanshan about this problem because her father had gout. Later, it was heard that it was a occupational disease. Since her father was engaged in scientific research, he may have caused too much killing.

(III) Scattered Records of Mr. Liu Shanshan's Explanation of Diseases

Where is the root cause of the disease? One needs to compare it with oneself and repent. When repenting, cry to expel the yin qi. Some people who truly understand and sincerely repent will have various reactions, such as vomiting, excretion, farting, hiccupping, and so on. Then, make yourself laugh to raise the yang qi, and naturally the disease will be eliminated. The key is that in the future, one should truly act according to one's own position, be willing to bear hardship and fatigue, work steadily, be filial to one's parents, be friendly to one's siblings, take care of one's family, and care about one's neighbors. This is what Master Yinguang called "fulfilling one's duties and responsibilities in human relations".

How to eliminate karmic diseases? Kneel and kowtow for sincere repentance. If you got the disease because of being angry with someone, repent to that person.
Admit your mistakes in your heart, endure great grievances and humiliation, and eliminate countless negative fates.
Even a single thought of yours can lead to illness.
Mr. Wang Fengyi once said such a principle: Diseases are added from the outside. If you have a good personality, the diseases will run away. Three-tenths of the treatment lies in medicine, and seven-tenths lies in recuperation. Good recuperation is better than good treatment.
Not blaming others is the root of the path to becoming a Buddha. Then we should check ourselves every day to see if we still blame others. We should examine ourselves carefully.
